Special Kerala Meal for Body Rejuvenation

There is a special hereditary meal for keeping the health. It is known by the local name in Kerala as karkidaka kanzhi. It is prepared by boiling dried rice or medicinal rice njavara. Coconut milk is added into it. Salt is not used for this preparation. The extract of the following are added into it:

  1. Thiru thali
  2. Valli Uzhinja
  3. Vishnu Kranti
  4. Mukkutti
  5. Poovan Kurunilla
  6. Muyal Cheviyan
  7. Karuka
  8. Nila pana
  9. Cheru poola
  10. Kai enna
  11. Thazhu thama
  12. Kurun thothi
  13. Van Kadaladi
  14. Cheru Kadaladi
  15. Kodi avanakku
  16. Thotta vadi
  17. Chathura mulla
  18. Kuzhal vatham kuzhi
  19. Nilam Paranda
  20. Karim Kurunji
  21. Atta vatta pala
  22. Kudakan
  23. Adalodakam
  24. Nilam Pala
  25. Kudal Churukki

After adding these extracts to boiled rice, the following are added :

  1. Ashali
  2. Chatha kuppa
  3. Uluva in small quantity to control the taste

Add the following in very small quantity after powdering them :

  1. Cardamom
  2. Dried Ginger
  3. Cumin seed

Add coconut milk in plenty. No curry is used with this meal as it tastes good by itself. Most of the items used can be easily obtained from paddy fields and gardens without any payment for them.

This preparation improves longetivity and best recommended use is during acute rainy season for a period of 7 days.
